Terms of Use
Average Idiot is run by me, Bill Belcamino. By using averageidiot.com (the “Site”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
Information only
The Site’s articles and tools are general information about websites, search and AI visibility. Search engines and AI assistants change how they work all the time, so nothing here is a guarantee of rankings, traffic, citations or revenue.
The free website health check
The free check tests the public web address you enter and reports what it finds at that moment. It’s automated and can miss things. Please only check sites you own or have permission to test.
Client work
Contacting me or running the free check doesn’t create a client relationship. Paid work (a retainer or a one-time fix) is agreed separately in writing, and that agreement, including its scope, price and terms, governs the work. Prices shown on the Site can change before an agreement is signed.
Content
The Site’s text, tools and graphics belong to Average Idiot unless otherwise noted. You may link to any page and quote short excerpts with a link back. Please don’t republish full articles without permission. The research figures at averageidiot.com/data/ are the exception: they are licensed CC BY 4.0, so you may reuse them, including commercially, with credit to Average Idiot and a link. Product and platform names belong to their owners.
Third-party links
The Site links to tools and websites I don’t control. I’m not responsible for their content, products or practices.
No warranty and limitation of liability
The Site and its tools are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Average Idiot isn’t liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
I may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated terms.
