HONEST NUMBERS, NOT A SALES PITCH
How much does a small business website redesign cost?
Short answer: it depends on page count, whether the design is custom or template-based, how much new writing it needs, whether it sells anything directly, and how messy the migration from the old site is. Below are sourced, general industry ranges, not a quote and not what I personally charge. I quote every project individually, after I have actually seen the site.
WHAT ACTUALLY DRIVES THE PRICE
Five real cost drivers
A five-page brochure site and a fifty-page site with unique service and location pages are different projects, even on the same platform. More unique pages means more design decisions and more writing, not just more clicking.
A well-chosen, well-customized template can look completely professional for a fraction of the cost of a fully custom design built from a blank page. The gap is mostly design and development hours, not quality.
Reusing existing copy is cheap. Rewriting every page so it actually says what the business does, in language customers and search engines both understand, is real work and is usually priced separately from design.
Product catalogs, cart and checkout flows, payment integration and inventory sync add meaningfully more scope than a site that exists to generate a phone call or a form submission.
Redirecting every old URL to its new home so rankings and links survive the move is straightforward on a small site and genuinely time-consuming on a large one with years of accumulated pages.
GENERAL MARKET RANGES
What the industry actually reports
These figures describe the broader web design market, not any single provider’s pricing, and they are cited here so you have a real reference point before anyone quotes you a number.
Clutch’s web design pricing research puts the typical agency project range at $2,000 to $100,000, with most projects reviewed on the platform costing under $10,000, and an average project cost of roughly $38,000 for larger, more involved builds. Standard US agency rates run $100 to $149 an hour.
WebFX’s published pricing guide puts overall web design costs at $1,000 to $30,000 or more, with startups and small businesses typically landing between $6,500 and $15,000 for a basic build, e-commerce functionality adding $5,000 to $25,000, and copywriting running $60 to $300 per page.

Yes, I do redesigns. They are the easy part.
I do not publish a price list, because the honest answer genuinely depends on what you have and what you need, and a flat number would either overcharge the simple projects or undercharge the complicated ones. I quote per project, after I have looked at your actual site, and I will tell you plainly if a few fixes would do the job for less than a full rebuild.
